Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy is a branch of rehabilitation health care that specifically focuses on an individual’s ability to restore normal functioning in the “everyday events” of life.
OT is a way to design treatment programs that focus on daily routines, provide more independence in the home or work environments, and help develop more confidence in the “little” things an individual may struggle with.
Occupational Therapy is primarily for individuals recovering from stroke or heart attack, brain or spinal cord injuries, mental health or behavioral problems, cognitive functioning, developmental problems or birth defects, burns, motor skills, ergonomics, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, etc.
